I understand where you are coming from when you reach out to me for help. Whether it’s having fun in the gym, eating better, or committing to a routine that sculpts your body – I’m going to help you get there.
I'm Ashley, Nice to Meet You
I’m currently a strength training & fat loss specialized Personal Trainer. In the past 6 years, I have worked with post-partum moms, young women, college students, athletes, working moms, busy dads and powerlifters.
Before all that cool stuff? Imagine a young, overweight girl who was glued to a computer screen all day. She would get lost in the world of the internet with her nightly box of 20 piece McNuggets. She didn’t know it but at the time she was trying to distract herself from the reality of her low self-confidence and loneliness.
Eventually she grew sick of it and took control over her body. It was the hardest journey she ever went on. She experienced so many physical and mental obstacles on the path to losing those 50lbs.
My Private Gym is located on: 418 Quequechan St #6, Fall River, MA 02723
I went from overweight to underweight. I made many mistakes and fell down a scary hole that resulted in dangerous eating disorders such as orthorexia, anorexia, and binge eating. I lost a lot of my valuable time and memories, and severely damaged my health.
After my scariest doctor’s appointment, I committed to learning about nutrition and strength training.
I crawled my way out of that pit and learned that fitness didn’t have to result in depriving myself & having anxiety about food. I didn’t need to spend hours at the gym to burn off extra calories just so I could maintain my weight.
I strengthened and built my body into the shape I feel most confident and strong in.
I think everyone deserves that. Which is why I am my clients’ #1 cheerleader and not just a trainer.
Being able to educate clients during their journey has been a key player in helping my clients see transformations that stick. I give them the tools and knowledge (in the gym and outside the gym) they need to stay successful. It’s not the easiest job to help someone change their life but it sure is the best when they finally unlock their potential.
It's More Than Just Working Out
Becoming a Trainer
I learned that becoming a good trainer required a variety of knowledge and experiences. My own fitness journey and a personal training certificate wasn’t enough. I was able to teach women and men how to lose weight and build muscle while pursuing my bachelor’s degree. It didn’t take me long to realize that people have lots of different journeys and obstacles, so I needed to know more.
How was I going to help Derek who suffered a knee injury 5 years ago in a car accident and struggled to climb a flight of stairs without pain?
How was I going to help Kelly with her cardio who has been suffering with asthma and low back pain for years?
I took Postural Restoration courses to help me understand the influence of breathing and biomechanics in order to help my clients train without pain. I interned at Mike Boyle’s Gym in Boston to learn more about athletes and how to coach large groups. I even attended an orthopedic seminar at Brown to help me understand how to help people who have had injuries. I continue to learn more and more to this day and this is why my client’s trust me.
